While becoming an IAS Business Partner is very easy, there are a few key guidelines that must be adhered to before and after joining the sales program. An IAS Business Partner markets and sells IAS Visual ADVANCE!™. The package is either sold unmodified, or with client specific modifications.
Benefit: Marketing Opportunities
Business Partners have access to specialized IAS marketing material such as logos, promotional literature, product betas and evaluations, and advertising opportunities. Marketing material may either be provided at no-charge or for a nominal fee. Advertising opportunities are priced on a per opportunity basis.
Benefit: Lead Generation
Business Partners are given preferential treatment with regard to prospective client leads that IAS receives. IAS will make every effort to ensure that Business Partners are provided with leads on an ongoing basis as they become available within the business partners’ respective territories.
Benefit: Support
Business Partner support is included. Additionally, we offer unlimited access to the IAS Business Partner web support forum, valid for (1) year from the date of sign on. After the initial support period, support is available on a per incident basis or via a support contract. Support applies only to the Business Partner and does not extend to the Business Partner’s clients. Please refer to the documentation enclosed in the IAS Business Partner Kit for current support prices.
Initial Registration Requirement
You must complete and return the IAS Business Partner application along with the registration fee to IAS, Inc. Upon approval, the Business Partner will be granted a license to resell perpetual licenses and leases to the IAS Visual ADVANCE! Business Edition and Single User Edition product lines. As part of the initial registration fee, the Business Partner will receive reference copies of the IAS Visual ADVANCE! Business Edition and Single User Edition products with full source code, six (6) telephone support incidents, access to the IAS Loop web forum, and all product maintenance updates and upgrades for all IAS software included in this package for one year. Business Partners may modify IAS software to fit the individual needs of clients. Clients are not required to purchase source code for Business Partner modifications unless the clients wish to take possession of the source code.
Evaluation CD’s
Business Partners may install an evaluation version of IAS Visual ADVANCE!™ at a prospective client’s site. Evaluation copies must be installed with the licensee name: DEMO.
Licensing
Business Partners must obtain a valid license key for each client purchasing IAS Visual ADVANCE!™. Every site must have a unique license key. Under no circumstance is a Business Partner allowed to use his or her own personal license key for a prospective or existing client. All applicable licensing fees must be received by IAS, Inc. before a license key is issued. Licenses are distributed per site and may be priced by the number of users. (Prices are subject to change for future versions of IAS Visual ADVANCE!.)
How To Receive New Licenses
The client can purchase a license for perpetual use or a lease term agreement. Licenses are obtained by faxing a purchase order to IAS including the client name, total cost with shipping and handling fees, payment method, licensee name to appear in the software, client address with telephone number, products to be shipped, and preferred shipping method. IAS will then invoice the client directly. Upon receipt of payment for a perpetual license, IAS will issue a sales payment to the Business Partner and ship the IAS Visual ADVANCE!™ CD, a product activation key, and all associated materials to the requested site. There is no refund credit allowed once a permanent activation key has been issued to the client. If the client requests lease terms provided by IAS’s leasing program, IAS will ship the IAS Visual ADVANCE!™ CD, a one-year product activation key, and all associated materials to the requested site. The client will be invoiced directly by IAS on a recurring basis as defined by the lease agreement. IAS will pay the Business Partner over the course of the lease term for the percentage of the amount due the reseller once IAS receives the lease payment from the lessee. The lessee’s activation key will be renewed annually for the term of the lease as long as all lessee payment and licensing obligations are met.
