The IAS Visual ADVANCE!™ General Ledger provides decision makers with financial information that is timely, accurate, and easily verified. An innovative drill down feature produces an audit trail for any transaction. The Financial Report Writer will generate standard financial statements or enable users to design their own financial statements and schedules.
The following illustrates some of the major features found in the General Ledger module:
Flexible Configuration The account size and format can be configured to conform to the existing account structure of the organization. The number of periods and period end dates can also be defined.
Account Entry Edit and add accounts using the Account Entry function.
Chart Of Account Range Entry Define your own account ranges for current assets, current liabilities, revenues, etc.
Account Inquiry The account balances for any fiscal year are displayed by accounting period. Transaction detail can be viewed by selected accounting period.
Future Posting Transactions may be posted to any defined future period without having to close the current General Ledger period.
Budget Entry Up to 36 different budget types may be defined. Budgets can be automatically copied to other budget types.
Audit Trails An audit trail of all activity that is posted to the General Ledger is provided. A copy of the original journal can be previewed on the screen or reprinted at any time.
General Journal Entry Transactions may be posted directly to General Ledger accounts. Unlimited journals to track entries can be defined. Reversal dates may be specified for any journal entry.
Recurring Journal Entry Recurring journal entries may be defined and automatically posted to the General Ledger.
Trial Balance Report The Trial Balance Report details account balances by account for a given date or period. A working trial balance with space for manual adjustments is provided.
General Ledger Report The General Ledger Report lists account transaction detail for any given date, period, and/or account range.
Financial Report Writer There is practically no limit to the types of statements and schedules that the Report Writer can create using actual or budget data. Row and column definition forms are provided to create custom schedules and statements.
Financial Report Wizard Utilize the wizard to quickly create balance sheets and income statements for actual and budget amounts.
Create Excel Financials IAS Visual ADVANCE!™ will create Microsoft Excel™ worksheets from Financial Statement Printing or from the Financial Report Wizard.
Import Feature Journal entrees may be imported into the General Ledger from other systems.
